Phornsawan Roemsri is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Texas Tech University, advised by Dr. Susan Mengel, and expects to defend in October 2026. The work is on security for connected and IoT devices — passive traffic fingerprinting for device identification, provenance-based authentication, and behavioral detection of ransomware — and on visualization for the systems that produce that data: network attack behavior, HPC operational and incident forensics, and astronomical time series. Roemsri is first author on eight peer-reviewed publications and received a Best Presentation award at APCT 2025 in Bangkok.
